The PFGRC Announces an Expanded Mycobacterium tuberculosis Gateway® Entry Clone Set
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) sponsored Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center (PFGRC) at the JCVI is pleased to announce the addition of 30% more Gateway® entry clones to the Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains H37Rv and CDC1551 Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Set. The original set of 2852 clones (2609 H37Rv, 243 CDC1551) was prepared in 2006 through a collaboration with Colorado State University under NIAID contract "TB Vaccine Testing and Research Materials”. Recently the PFGRC has added an additional 873 new clones representing ORFs from H37Rv (685) and CDC1551 (188). These additions expand the clone set to 3725 clones. The validated ORFs were constructed in the pDONR221 Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Vector with modified att sites. Each ORF has an introduced universal ATG site. The PFGRC is making this resource available to the research community free of charge as a complete clone set or individual entry clones. Please follow the link to the PFGRC Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Resource for detailed ordering instructions for the complete clone set or individual clones.
