The PFGRC announces the addition of an Influenza Gateway® Entry Clone Set to the Gateway® Entry Clone Resource

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) sponsored Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center (PFGRC) and Microbial Sequencing Center (MSC) at JCVI are pleased to announce the addition of an Influenza A Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Set to the PFGRC Gateway® Entry Clone Resource. The resource consists of twenty-seven strains (including twenty-three avian subtypes and two human subtypes) generously provided by the NIAID sponsored MSC at the JCVI.  For each strain, Gateway® Entry Clones representing the eight protein coding segments are in the process of sequence validation.  The validated segments were constructed in the pDONR221 Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Vector.  Once validated, the PFGRC will make the Influenza A Gateway® Entry Clone Resource available to the research community free of charge as a complete clone set or as individual clones. The anticipated release date is May 7, 2008.  Please follow the link to the PFGRC Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Resource for detailed ordering instructions for the complete clone set or as individual clones.
