The PFGRC announces three new additions to its DNA microarray resource and two new deadlines for acceptance of applications for DNA microarrays.
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) sponsored Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center (PFGRC) at The Institute for Genomic Research (TIGR) announces the selection of three organisms for development of functional genomics resources and reagents. The three organisms selected are Burkholderia mallei/pseudomallei, Candida albicans, and Plasmodium vivax. Two deadlines, February 15, 2006, and May 15, 2006, have been set for submission of applications for acquisition of glass slide microarray resources for these three organisms. In addition, the PFGRC will continue to accept and support applications for the 28 organisms currently in its DNA microarray inventory. Details with respect to the application process and review criteria can be found at the NIAID PFGRC web site The application process for the NIAID supported DNA microarrays can be found at http://www3.niaid.nih.gov/LabsAndResources/resources/pfgrc/reqprocess.htm.
